Mr. Pierre Berge, YSL Foundation hosted a “Les Derniers Maharaja”, an exhibition of Royal Indian Costumes from the “Deepak & Daksha Heritage Collection”.These opened the year of India in France and Paris Fashion Week. The exhibition was specially curated by Umang Hutheesing and on view for 5 months.

It was the most successful exhibition of the Pierre Berge YSL Foundation ever and attended by three presidents of France (Nicolas Sarkozy and two former presidents), several Ministers, Ambassadors and Prominent Personalities of Paris. A large number of fashion stalkers as well as Fashion and Design students from across Europe visited the exhibition.

The impact of this exhibition at world fashion is quite stellar.
Encouraged by Pierre Berge and Didier Grumbach, we started the label in Nov. 2013 as a passion to revive this royal textile costume tradition of India
